Christophe Dumarest

Christophe Dumarest is a French mountaineer and mountain guide, born on February 18, 1980, in Annecy, in the heart of the Northern Alps. Christophe was introduced to the mountains and mountaineering by his parents at a very early age, and climbed his first peak over 4,000 meters before the age of 10. He began high-level mountaineering with the national team of the French Mountaineering and Climbing Federation (FFME), climbing major routes in the Mont Blanc massif from the 2000s onward, then embarking on expeditions around the world: Peru, Norway, Pakistan, Alaska, China, Nepal, Chile, Tibet, and Patagonia. He is particularly distinguished by his alpine sequences and the opening of new routes, particularly in the Alps, on the south face of Mont Blanc, the Grandes Jorasses, and the Freney Pillar.
